Frankfurt, November 1, 2016. On November 1, 2016 Dr. Stephan Schmid (age 52) joins hkp/// group as Partner and Member of the Management Board. A specialist in HR process, strategy and organization consulting, Dr. Schmid was previously Principal at Kienbaum Management Consultants. He has broad consulting and industry experience, having held numerous specialist and leadership positions at companies including Rio Tinto Alcan, the auditing firm PwC, and IBM. He also has a doctorate in Applied Mathematics.
Senior Partner at hkp/// group Thomas Faltin welcomed the addition of Dr. Schmid to the Board, saying that he would make a key contribution to strengthening the organization consulting practice at hkp/// group: "Dr. Schmid's special area of expertise is successful HR transformations. Profile of Dr. Stephan Schmid
Dr. Stephan Schmid studied at the University of Kaiserslautern, later completing a doctorate in Applied Mathematics at the California Institute of Technology. He began his professional career in research at Rio Tinto Alcan. Later, he held various specialist and leadership positions at the auditing firm PwC, where he ultimate became People Development Director for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In 2003 he moved to IBM in Böblingen, eventually as Head of Human Resources. His work at Kienbaum Management Consultants since 2009 involved supporting DAX and Mittelstand companies, and businesses in the New Economy at home and abroad.
Dr. Schmid is much in demand as an expert in developing targeted HR strategies, implementing innovative organizational models and designing integrated HR processes. He advises clients on the implementation of tailored business partner, competence center and service center structures, enhancing the agility and operational excellence of HR divisions and developing effective KPIs for HR management.
