• The well-known specialists and industry experts Lutz Cardinal von Widdern and Dr. Jan Dörrwächter become Partners at hkp/// group

Frankfurt, March 16, 2017. hkp/// group is pleased to welcome two new highly experienced practitioners to the company. From April 2017, Dr. Jan Dörrwächter and Lutz Cardinal von Widdern will take up new positions as Partners on the Management Board of the consulting firm.

Dr. Jan Dörrwächter spent more than 11 years at E.ON, most recently as Director Reward & Board Affairs with responsibility across the group for compensation issues and management board affairs. During the group split, he held the position of Senior Vice President HR Centers of Expertise at Uniper SE from 2016, responsible for reward, talent management, learning and development, and HR controlling.

Lutz Cardinal von Widdern spent 26 years at Bayer, including almost ten years as Global Head of Compensation & Benefits. Until March 2017 he was also responsible for Management Board and Supervisory Board compensation at the Bayer Group.

Background information 

Dr. Jan Dörrwächter (born 1969) took a degree in Law before starting work in the public sector. From 1999 to 2004 he was a specialist at the Bavarian Ministry of Finance. In 2004 he joined E.ON Group as Director of Executive Board Affairs, responsible for contract and compensation issues for the management board and for top executives in Germany. He was admitted to the bar in 2006. Until the end of 2015 he he6ld various HR management positions in the Group, most recently that of Director Reward & Board Affairs at E.ON. In the course of the split up of the E.ON Group, he took over responsibility for the topics of reward, talent management, learning and development, and HR controlling as Senior Vice President HR Centers of Expertise at Uniper SE from January 2016. In addition, he was responsible for management board matters and executive contracts.

Lutz Cardinal von Widdern (born 1956) first qualified as an insurance broker with Victoria, before taking on various HR and line functions at the company. In spring 1991 he left Victoria as head of department with overall responsibility for network activities in Germany, Austria and Portugal. He then joined Bayer Group, where he was initially responsible for a variety of areas in company pensions, in positions ranging from Chairman of the Board of Bayer pension funds in Germany to having global responsibility for the design and financing of pension schemes for the Group's foreign subsidiaries. In October 2016 he was appointed Global Head of Compensation & Benefits, responsible for all aspects of compensation and benefits for all levels of the hierarchy. In parallel, he was responsible for the compensation of the management and supervisory boards of the Bayer Group from 2009 until his departure in March 2017.
