The compensation for chairmen of the supervisory board in companies which are listed in DAX has risen about 9% to 314.000 Euro on average. In 2011 considerable increases of compensation can be recognized as well as significant declines. The chairman of the supervisoriy board of Volkswagen ranks with about 850.200 Euro at the top of the current compensation distribution.

Hostettler, Kramarsch & Partner (hkp///) analyzed the so far published compensation reports 2011 from the most important quoted Companies (SMI Expanded). This analyze shows, the CEO direct compensation stays more or less stable. The median increased by 1% up to 3,8 mio CHF. We also found a shifting form the base salary to the share based compensation.
